2007 NAICS Codes
The 2007 North American Industry Classification Codes, also known as the 2007 NAICS Codes, are utilized to classify companies and organizations for various purposes. The federal government uses NAICS codes to replace the outdated classifications of the Standard Industrial Classification Codes, known generally as the SIC codes. NAICS codes and SIC codes are relevant to inside sales reps because sales lead databases such as InfoUSA and Hoover’s use these systems to group business leads into categories. If you ever buy a leads list, then you will probably be choosing prospects within categories defined by the 2007 NAICS Codes.
